Meet Eric (Owner and Trainer)
I am a Fenton, MI based BFS (Bigger Faster Stronger) certified personal trainer. With 20+ years of experience in coaching, training, nutrition, and continuing my education, I have been able to transform people’s lives through strength and health personalized programs. I have been fortunate to have coached and trained people with a variety of needs, from high school and college athletes to the common person who wants to be in shape and healthy. Other than working in the strength and health industry, I’m also a high school teacher. I have a Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University, A Master’s degree from Marygrove University, and continuing education credits from Loyola Marymount University, CA. I have been blessed with the opportunity to have coached student athletes at all levels in both basketball and baseball for many years. As a kid, I grew up playing football, basketball, and baseball; therefore, I love competition and pushing myself to be the best I can be. The passion for competition through sports eventually led me to competing in men’s physique body building (NPC) at both the state and national level. This has allowed me to form a relationship with the finest supplement company in Beverly International. With their support, I’ve been able to transform my strength and health in order to live the highest quality of life possible. I try to live by the principles of dedication, pride, commitment, and excellence each and every day. I’ve been able to use my experiences and background to educate and motivate people towards living a healthier lifestyle. This includes physical exercise, mental stability, and nutrition.

One day my husband said, “We’re going to get a trainer.” I was terrified as we went to our first training with Eric Senter. As we set up our next training, I thought of so many reasons not to go back. Keep in mind that I had never trained with weights a day in my life. But Eric believed in me from the beginning. He said, “You’re going to have a great physique, and you’re going to be great at deadlifting.” I looked at him with confusion because I had no idea what a deadlift was! Now I’m deadlifting 255 lbs and still getting stronger. I’ve known Eric for over two years now and can honestly say that I can’t find another trainer better than he is. He loves training and loves to train other people and gently encourages them to be the best they can be. I’ve built a great physique with his guidance and am very grateful for all he has taught me. He holds me accountable daily and pushes me to not quit and be better in all aspects of my life. “I have known and worked with Coach Senter since I was an 8th grader. He was my baseball coach in High School, but he taught me so much more than the skills of the game. My natural sport was hockey and be it he wasn't my hockey coach, he was the most influential coach I had in helping me reach my full potential as a hockey player and as an athlete overall. Prior to meeting coach Senter I played hockey as a skilled player and worked rigorously on my skills, but didn't spend much time doing off ice training. After meeting with Coach Senter and talking he believed I could be twice the player if I worked on my strength training and quickness. He changed my game forever after going through his summer “Jump Program” he was using for his basketball players. I was skeptical at first because I believed this was a program focused more on other sports, nonetheless, I gave it a shot. I started the program going into my junior year of high school. The program was very difficult and demanding. It took everything you had in you to complete it and you were sore for a couple days afterwards. It was so hard I contemplated bailing on it after the first week but Coach Senter gave me words of encouragement to get through it. As the program went along I was becoming noticeably stronger and when we would re-do the testing part of the program my results continued to get better. I knew the program had worked, and by the end of it I wanted to know how that would translate into my hockey game. I saw results early in my junior year when I made a play that I just wouldn't have been capable of making the year prior. I scored a big goal in a big game that was off of shear strength which wasn't part of my game prior to completing the jump program. The following year, the same guy (me) who hated the program the year before was hounding Coach Senter on when we were going to get it going again. I would recommend this program to any young athlete that has the aspiration to play beyond the high school level. I credit a portion of my success to Coach Senter’s training program. I was able to achieve first team all-state in high school, excelled in junior hockey, and played NCAA hockey at Potsdam University, NY. Beyond the Jump Program, Coach Senter has so much more to bring to all athletes and people. He taught me how to be mentally tough; a characteristic which is needed to win in life each and every day, regardless if it’s with your diet or a training session. “When I first talked with Eric about diet I had been weight training consistently for eight years. At 51 years of age my weight was well within check, had completed physical challenges most people can’t even fathom and the doctor declared my health as excellent. Admittedly my diet wasn’t stellar, however it wasn’t bad either. Sure I’d have the occasional fast food burger and mega calorie infused Frappa Lappa whatever, but as a whole my approach to a ‘diet’ was working for me. Being adventurous, or more likely that I’m single with nothing better to do, I decided to take Eric up on his proposition and have him write me a diet plan. Since I was content with my weight the agenda was to provide proper nutrition to feed the muscle for my activity level and hopefully gain lean muscle. When Eric gave me my personalized diet I was surprised at just how much food was in the program. I would be eating more than I had in the past, but the main element that stuck out to me is how Eric had carefully calculated calories and the Macronutrients (Fats, Carbs, and Proteins) for my goal. Nothing about my workout program changed, however within a couple weeks of beginning the diet the scale started to dip a couple pounds. This was counter-productive of my primary goal of “gaining muscle”. When I told Eric this he offered to alter the diet but I told him let’s wait and see how this continues to play out. At that time other changes were happening too; I felt more energetic throughout the day. The mid-day crash I felt at work every day had disappeared and I was pushing more weight in all lifts I was doing at the gym. I told one coworker, it just feels like I have happy chemicals running through my body now. Just a couple months of starting the diet I was the leanest I had ever been in my life, while only dropping a couple pounds on the scale. We love <3 our building! It’s a building that was built less then 5 years ago. It’s right in the heart of Fenton. We are located right off Owen Rd and Rounds Dr. We are really close to the Wentworth Group and the Pointe Animal Hospital.
Renovations include open floor plan, filled with state of the art equipment, brand new washrooms and shower facilities, brand new mat flooring through out the entire 3,000sqft building.
We are looking to serve our community in a new way.
